Price: View !!!
Description: Few cocktails are as storied, as fraught with history and tradition in America, as the mint julep. The drink originated in the South, probably during the eighteenth century, and U.S. Senator Henry Clay of Kentucky introduced the julep to Washington, D.C., at the Round Robin Bar in the famous Willard Hotel during his residence in the city. Kentuckians maintain that when a mint julep is made right, you can hear angels sing. Always made with fresh mint, Kentucky bourbon, and plenty of shaved ice, it is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby. The traditional, silver-plated Mint Julep Cups each measure 6 1/2-inches tall, with a top diameter of 4-inches, with a flat bottom and straight sides that flare slightly.
