Description: Kuan Yin in known as the Goddess of mercy. In one of the forms, she is portrayed with 1000 hands as two hands are not enough for Kuan Yin to come to the aid of all those in need. This statue is produced my small family in Northern Thailand. Resin in added to the powdered calcium which gives weight and feeling of polished stone to the statue. The mixture is poured into molds and allowed to harden. The figure is then lightly sanded before the final antique finish is applied. The Kuan Yin statue measures 11 inches tall and 7 inches wide.
